Local Favourites

"The Bookshop Darwin is an independently owned and operated business that has been serving the community since 2006."

"We're more than just a retailer, we're a cultural hub. We work regularly with local businesses, authors, libraries and schools to encourage a love of reading across Darwin and the Northern Territory!"

"We believe people should support local as it strengthens the community. The Bookshop is committed to putting our earnings back into the Darwin economy - catering for our events, refurbishing costs and innovative design work is all done in partnership with other local businesses."

"We hire Territorians, support and promote local writers and festivals and regularly sponsor fundraisers and reading competitions with local schools and libraries."

"Our shop is welcoming, the moment you walk through the door you are treated to a calming environment and a friendly team that are happy to help. We have a wide variety of board games and puzzles in addition to books to cover any interest."

"Like most businesses in Darwin, the last two years have posed some unique challenges. We greatly expanded our games and puzzle selection to help families cope with lockdowns and developed an online shopfront  so people could order our products from their home."

"The Bookshop Darwin works with a wide range of organisations and businesses, and is always open to welcoming more into our community. Just let us know how we can support you, or send us a list of resources so we can provide a quote!"
