Pamper day out

Local Favourites

Looking for a day out to freshen up and relax but not sure where the best places to go are, or what to do?  We’ve curated a guide of some local favourites and a few hidden gems.  So, invite along your daughter or mum along and prepare to unwind.

Start the day at a nice café, a few fan favourites are Rays Café and Patisserie, Roma Bar and Ruby G’s.  All serve great coffee, food and patisserie treats, but if you’re looking for a geeky 80’s atmosphere head down to the Mad Snake Café or Postie for an on-the-go meal.

If shopping’s up your alley make sure to check out Ginger Pink, Cotton On and Infidelity for clothes and accessories.  After some new bathers?  Head to Surf, Dive n Ski, Rip Curl, and Splash Swimwear, they stock the most up-to-date beachwear fashion.  Make sure you also take a look inside Embella Jewellery in the Star Village for handmade, quality jewellery.  For vintage clothing and items take a walk down Air Raid Arcade for Vintage Boutique Darwin, and while you’re there don’t forget to pop in to Air Raid Records.

Maybe you want to give shopping a pass, just head straight to LASH and Brow Bar Darwin for anything brows and lashes.  To get a simple mani/pedi or intricate nail art, Star’s Nail Salon at the Waterfront, and The Mall Nails and Beauty both have a huge range of colours and a comfortable atmosphere.

For a calm ending to a day out choose from a range of massages at Chaba Beauty and Spa, their qualified therapists provide you with a relaxing and soothing experience that re-energises the mind and body.  There is a variety of massages available, but a fan favourite is definitely the Hot Stone Massage.  Undergo a revitalising experience that includes a full body and scalp massage before treating yourself to ice cream at John John’s.  With plenty of flavours and dietary restrictive options, there’s something for everyone.
